Introduction
Clifford School (International and Manitoba Program) within Clifford Estates, Panyu, Guangdong, has a population of approximately 600 students enrolled, with a staff of 50 western teachers and 10 Chinese teachers. Clifford School is certified as an official Affiliated Overseas School of the Province of Manitoba, Canada. The International and Manitoba programs have been graduating students at the completion of grade 12 since the International Secondary Program began in 2002.

The Manitoba curriculum is implemented from grade 1 to grade 12. Clifford School also offers an Advanced Placement (AP) program for interested students. The School is audited by Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning on a yearly basis, which includes curriculum reviews and ensuring mandated guidelines outlined by the province.

Curriculum
The province of Manitoba provides Canadian curriculum to the International and Sino-Can Dual Diploma (Manitoba) Program at Clifford School. Students in grades 9-12 are required to complete 30 credits prior to graduation. The time allocated for classroom instruction for all courses meets the requirements of Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning.

Resources and teaching materials meet current Canadian Manitoba curriculum requirements. Clifford School follows Manitoba guidelines requiring teachers to possess a valid Canadian Teaching Certificate and must meet the requirements of Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning. This expectation ensures that teachers have the required training, experience, and background for the delivery of subject material to the students and also the ability to adapt curriculum requirements to meet student needs.

The school offers a full range of academic courses for university entrance. The elective programs include: Visual Art, Drama, Music Choral, Music Band, and Computer Technology. Mandarin is also taught as a second language from grade 1 through grade 11, and is an elective in grade 12. AP courses are offered in Calculus, Chinese Language and Culture, Art, Statistics, Computer Science, Micro Economics, Macro Economics, and Psychology. By participating in AP, a student has the opportunity to earn a high school credit and a university credit, and to enhance a university admissions application.

The graduates from our International and Manitoba programs are presently attending or have attended universities throughout the world. Many of our students have been and continue to be scholarship winners.

Facilities
Our international campus has an expanded science area that provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and General Science programs. Two computer labs along with large screen interactive boards in all classrooms facilitate technology resources for educational research purposes that meet the standards of Manitoba Education and Advanced Learning. Teachers foster STEAM competencies with our Maker Space room and resources.

The school libraries are another important additional resource for the students, particularly in the development of independent research skills. The budget for the library has been substantially increased to allow for the purchase of books and other resources so that the library meets Manitoba requirements.

Our new gymnasium is state of the art complete with a weight room, classroom with an interactive board, two full sized athletic courts, and a wide array of equipment. The Olympic sized swimming pool also enables our Physical Education teachers to expand the Manitoba curriculum from grade 1 to grade 12.

Activities
In addition to a complete academic program, students enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities that will help shape and develop character and interpersonal skills. Student councils provide opportunities for student leadership and for students to communicate with staff and administration. Other student leadership opportunities available for students include Model United Nations.

除了完整的学科学习，国际部还为学生们安排的一系列课外活动，发展学生人格，提升交际能力。学生会则成为国际部学生们锻炼组织领导能力、广开人脉提供了各种平台。能力突出的学生还可参与“模联”活动。
The school yearbook is also an option for students to undertake leadership opportunities and gain technology skills and experience. The yearbook is produced by staff and student volunteers and is generally a highlight of the school year.
学校年鉴的编撰工作也是学生们锻炼领导能力、获取相关技能和经验的平台。年鉴由教师和学生志愿者共同推出，荟萃了每学年的大事记。
The students also have an opportunity to participate in Choral, Band, Drama, and Art programs that showcase at various venues throughout the year.

The school also participates in a wide variety of inter-school and intramural sports under the direction of the Physical Education Department. Our school competes in the GISAC (Guangzhou International School Athletic Conference) and the PRC (Pearl River Conference). To date we have enjoyed considerable success at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The students have the opportunity to participate in several sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, tennis, swimming, cross-country, table tennis, and track and field.

Awards and Scholarships
Graduating students receive a high school diploma that is issued by the province of Manitoba. The Manitoba high school diploma is recognized worldwide as an entrance requirement to colleges and universities. Students graduating from our program are eligible for scholarships and awards for outstanding merit in academics, leadership, and athletics. Our students are also eligible for the Bronze Governor General’s Medal, which is a prestigious and widely recognized award given by the Governor General of Canada.
